Early in the twilight hours the Alabaster Queen had made her exit from the palace. Perhaps having borrowed a few of her maids gowns, but only for a few hours of course. She still had things to do and the days never gave her enough time as it was. Truly, she loved her work, but she also loved getting out on the rare occasion that she could. Mahi probably would disapprove of her actions this day, but it wasn't like she would be out for a few days at a time. That was something she never would think about. The amount of paperwork that would pile, the woman couldn't think of it. She'd die. Slipping on her maids commoner shoes, she draped a shawl over her head and shoulders. Sneaking down the hidden corridors to the stables. Slender fingers gently glide against the wood of each stall until she reached her stallion. Touching the bridge of his nose where his forelock covered it, sweeping it away from his eye to reveal the sharp blue that appeared clear to those that weren't paying attention. Gently a smile caressed her features as a heavy burst of air left his snout right into her face. Giving a hushed chuckle the woman firmly pat his flank as she moved to his side and hoped up to hoist her leg over.
A saddle was left on the hook as she rather go bareback then anything. Especially, when the saddles in Ponterion were too lavish and flashy for normal common folk. Kicking Fenis in the sides harshly with her heels, he jolt forward with a grunt before trotting off. Gripping his ebonite mane her hips shifted about with each step the bulky equine took. Her swords buckled to her back, Ezra had little else with her, but it did not make her defenseless. Once out of the sight of her palace, she slammed her heels into Fenis' sides once again and got him into a gallop. Running him until she got to the outskirts of the city because he honestly needed more outside time. She felt bad that she had been neglecting him, but tis was the life they both lived. His heavy huffs and the light giggles that left her throat, it was a short lived bliss that she took joy in. Better then drinking wine to put her to sleep anyways. Hitting the country side by early afternoon she stopped him at a small tavern. Typing his rope to a beam while she went inside to get some water for the stallion that had a bit of a hissy fit. Knowing full well he was irritated by the flickering of his muscles and the endless snorts he threw her way. Walking in her tone lost it's eloquence.
In fact it reverted back to her rif raf speech more then her royal tones of silk. "Can ya get me a deep bowl for my stallion that's tied up front?" A grin remained on her lips as her elbows touched the counter, leaning forward on her toes as she watched the keeper give a sigh. "Rough day?" She'd ask with a perk of her brow. When he turned and tried covering up his day, she raised a finger, wiggling it before setting her hand back down. "Truth please, wouldn't ask if I wasn't interested." An amused expression hid behind her intrigue as he stood staring blankly at her. Slowly his expression broke into a grin before he rubbed the back of his head while he went to fetch her the bowl she requested. Coming back he set it down and looked into her eyes with a hesitant grin. "Am I that readable?" His tone a bit baritone, but not completely dull. Nodding the woman sat herself on a stool and made it clear she wasn't leaving till he answered. "Well...besides a keeper I am a farmer. My trader ain't exactly doin business well. They laze about and so I fired 'em. Just business troubles, nothin' ta worry your pretty little head over." Little did he know it was something she would be worrying her pretty little head over.
Perhaps she should bring it better merchants. Yes, this needed to be addressed and quickly. With a quick flaunt of a smile she grabbed the bowl and stood up. "I'm sure things will get better. Ya will see. Just stay positive sir." Turning to go out the door she quickly stopped once more to turn her head to him once more. "Where is the well?" With a chuckle the man pointed to the side the well would be located and with a nod she exited the tavern. Brushing her hand against the snout of Fenis she went to the well. Lowering the bucket down she brought it back up with some water, dipping the bowl she filled it up and brought it to the cranky stallion. Bringing it up to his lips and holding it there as he drank with greed.
