"Around the time of the shortest day of the year, a festival known as Geimhridh (ghee-rig) takes place within the Kingdom of Arcul. This festival takes place underneath the northern lights of Arcul, and like other festivals, feasts ensue. It is a celebration of colour, something Arcul often lacks, and magic. But also a celebration of the way in which the people of the kingdom are always provided for even with the harsher climates. It is celebrated in every village, with the biggest feast occurring within Osevale, the capital. Entertainers can often be seen dancing through the streets, displaying their own colourful, magical abilities."
In which roleplay areas will the festival take place in?
The celebration among the nobles and royal characters from each continent will take place in this thread, at Castle Torridus. The festival gives us a chance to have our royals and nobles finally meet each other and mingle. Use this chance wisely, for both enemies and allies will most likely be acquired by every character! I will be posting a starting post from the point of view of the Arculian queen to set the scene, and allow for everybody else to join in then.
If you don't have any noble characters, you may still have your characters take part in the festivities. Feel free to plot with other users and play out your own little adventures revolving around the festival within Osevale itself, Whiteridge and even Blackpool.
The thread that I have linked above will most likely be the only thread used for the festivities of noble characters. Even though Geimhridh will last for a month in real life time, it will only be one evening/night in-character.
Which characters can come to Castle Torridus?
All lords, ladies, kings, queens and princes may be roleplayed at Castle Torridus for the duration of Geimhridh. If royal or noble characters have any warriors or knights sworn to them, they may also bring those characters along too. Leaders of the nymph tribes and Clan Halmar may also show their faces.
